About Dynamic Athlete


Dynamic Athlete uses a fun, integrated, and holistic approach to the principles of Z-Heath Performance Solutions—which are nervous-system based—in developing programs for everyone from beginners to career-athletes. Coaching available for groups and individuals.

Dynamic Athlete’s programs are:
·      Specifically designed for each client, based on his or her goals and needs, aimed at improved-movement and life-long health.

·      Mentally and physically challenging in order to continue growth and advance performance.

·      Carefully monitored using assessment and re-assessment protocols. Client’s regimen adjusted, if and when necessary.

Services


Motivation/Coaching: Progressive training, based on the athlete’s strengths, designed improve weaknesses and maintain positive changes.

Body Composition: Nutritional support and guidance, using the latest research, to assist athletes in losing excess weight or increasing body mass. Cognitive and behavioral tools are utilized to achieve change in body composition, quickly, efficiently, and permanently.

Pain Relief: Re-training the nervous system to eliminate painful signals that have resulted from injury or disease. Protocols include dynamic joint-mobility drills, manual therapy, and relaxation techniques, as well as exercises for the visual and vestibular systems.

Injury Prevention: Assessments – based on the individual’s sport, experience, and physical history – determine athlete’s training protocols, which aim to improve coordination and familiarize the body with movement specific to the sport, while eliminating threats/stressors.

Performance Enhancement: Fast, efficient, and effective training to elevate athletes to the next level. Nervous-system based techniques and exercises, designed to improve strength, flexibility, speed, and stamina.

Katie Bigelow


Adventurous, playful, and curious, Katie Bigelow’s affinity for athletics began at an early age. She excelled in soccer and basketball, among other sports.

Katie’s athletic career diminished after a debilitating injury that required multiple surgeries developed into a chronic pain disorder. In her search for relief, Katie discovered Z-Health Performance Solutions, a nervous system-based exercise program. Katie’s pain was eliminated, her athletic performance improved, and her career took a new direction.

Armed with a passion for health and a penchant for success, Katie combines scientific research with personal experiences to create lifelong health and athleticism for her clients. Katie is a Z-Health Master Trainer and Russian Kettlebell Certified Level 2 Instructor (RKC 2), as well as a graduate of Emory University in Atlanta, where she earned a B.S. in Neuroscience & Behavioral Biology.
